As it turns out the handicapable monkey is the spouse of a government offical and therefore ended up out-ranking me for a job afterall. The good news is I was hired (again) for the post office position (my 2nd choice) and am awaiting approval from the powers that be for confirmation. Hopefully I'll be able to start working the beg. of August.

As most of you probably don't know, the Asian Cup is going on. Vietnam has been one of the host countries for the event and had progressed farther than expected, so unexpected that their teams star player had scheduled his wedding during the tournament and was a no show at the last game where they were put out. Anyway, we went to see the game on the 21st, where Japan beat the Socceroos (sorry Knave), it was great to get to see 2 world cup teams play and for only $12.

Next weekend rumor has it the only punk rock band in Hanoi will be playing, how could we possibly pass that promise of a spectacle up.
